SMD GOT TALENT

Sing for the moment!!!

On 21st May, Friday there was an audition night for kids of whichever grade. The audition was done in the school dining hall. This programme was instigated by  Wangdue who is currently working as a hostel teacher.

The chief objective of this programme is to bring out the hidden singing talent of kids. The judges were Niraj Chitrakar, school accountant and hostel teacher, Rabin Lama, Senior and Tashi Chodon-junior hostel teacher and Senior.

There were more than 30 participants. Everyone sang well and they tried their best individually. The kids were showing curiosity in singing and they were very happy to get an opportunity to sing. A number of kids have brilliant voices.  The judges were very surprised by their melodious voices.  Among the 30, only 14 kids were selected for the next round. The next round will be done on the next Friday of May. In that round, only 8 kids will be chosen. The contest is quite difficult, because the kids must sing in Tibetan, Nepali and English.

We are looking forward to see next round of SMD Got Talent.
