Score rule: New System in SMD School

SMD Boarding School is in Tinchuli, Boudha which is situated in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal. SMD School is a paradise for students who stay here because our school provides us with modern education and good facilities that we would never get from other schools. SMD School has around 600 hundreds students including monks and nuns too. Around 300 are boarders (students who stay in the school after the classes are over) and around 300 are day-scholar, including the monks and nuns. The boarders have crowded rooms  which they share with at least 11 other students. The biggest dorm rooms have 22 and 26 students. Each two rooms have a teacher to look after them. With the arrival of new session, new rules were also introduced on the hostel side and one of the most interesting is the score rule.

Score rule is a new system in the school. The rooms have competitions and get scores. The score are not only given for participation in games but also for the performance. If the students are doing good work then the room gets plus points and when a student does something wrong the point of a particular room is deducted. The points are given in the field of games, relationships with teacher, co-operation, cleanliness, leadership skills  and punctuality. The score is announced every Saturday after prayers and the reasons of the points' addition and deduction is also announced.

The score rule has made all students alert because everyone is watching each other and each student is thinking that they had better do than others so that their room can win. This is very great idea and we think this rule will lead SMD to success. Last of all, we would like to thank Hostel Heads for this new idea at SMD.
