A poignant note from an overseas-goer, Sonam Dolma Sherpa, set to graduate from the Red Cross Nordic United World in Norway in May 2008.
I hope all is well there. The sun has come back to Flekke finally and
I am enjoying the sunshine. However, I am having a mixture of feelings these days as the term moves to an end - exciting, nervous and sad.
I am excited to go back to Nepal this summer, and of course to go to the new university I will be attending in the fall. At the same time I am nervous because the IB exam is just next-door and sad because I have to leave this small community filled with wonderful people very soon. It's just a month and few days left! Anyway, I have already booked my ticket for summer.
By the way, My IB exam starts from the beginning of May and continues for 3 weeks. On the 24th of May, we have our graduation day. We (2nd year students) have to leave the college the next day. What I have planned is that, I will be spending a week with my host family before I come to Nepal. I guess I will be the first one among all the overseas-goers to be back Nepal. Yay!!
Exactly I will do to help SMD in summer, to be honest, I haven't thought about it seriously yet. I will let you know soon. In the mean time, if you have any good suggestions that you think I can do to help SMD please feel free to let me know.
