Jane Goodall is one of the world's top primatologists. She was born in England on April 3, 1934. She is one of only eight other people to earn a PhD without a Bachelor’s degree.
Dr. Jane arrived at Kathmandu airport on 27th November 2005. Some of us SMD members welcomed her at the airport. On the last day of Dr. Jane’s three- day visit to Nepal, she came to our school. The students welcomed her with welcome banners and unicycle riders. We offered her a yellow long-life khata, then she was escorted into the decorated hall which also serves as our shrine room.

She gave a speech which was charismatic and which inspired SMD students a lot. There was cultural show for her, which was prepared and presented by the students of our school.
Wangchuk Tenzin M280 and I interviewed her in the Director's office. After that all the students had photos taken with Dr. Jane on the football pitch, then she left our school around 1 o' clock.
