Train the Trainers Workshops: Inter-Community School
Zurich & SMD

The wonderful journey of 'Train the Trainers” workshops was started at Thrangu Rinpoche's School from in April 2008. Teachers from the Inter Community School in Zurich spent 100 hours training our teachers to be teacher trainers, all about the facilitation and building of leadership skills.

The purpose of this course was to equip a core group of our teachers with the skills and confidence to use the strategies in their classes and to help our colleagues at the department level.

We learned active participation through communicative learning and teaching techniques. Most of the course was given over the participatory learning through practical hands-on activities which we can apply in our classes right away. Those skills and strategies went very successfully like a flowing river till this year.

Module 1, 2 and 3 were taught in 2008 and the remaining parts, Modules 4 and 5 were taught this past June. This course enriched us in so many ways and helped a lot in out present classes.

We are now the trainers and are very obliged and thankful to our friends more than teachers David, Kyla, Heather and other wonderful ICS teachers who helped us make this journey. These people will always remain great for us. They give us their valuable time, helped us in each and every step in our classrooms and also during workshops for our teachers. 'Great people with great thoughts always remain great in the world.'
