Vice Principal Jhabindra (Karma Tsering = KT), Head Teacher Milan and the Department Heads work as a team to improve teaching standards and academic performance. As Vice Principal, KT comes on a daily basis. His responsibility is to supervise instruction at SMD. The school calendar has been extended and "make-up"days were instituted to cover teaching time lost to "bandhs'…strikes. These adjustments have allowed students (especially Class 10) enough time to finish the syllabus prescribed by the government.
KT and his team are continuing to implement the policies laid out in the school management plan. This has gone a long way to improving SMD's academic standards.
